Leo Morad headshot

Leo is a former ballet dancer now studying History at the University of Cambridge alongside his acting career. He has performed leading roles to critical acclaim, such as Salieri in Peter Shaffer's Amadeus. His career as a ballet dancer informs his physical approach to characterisation, and his understanding of physicality is as much a part of his toolkit as text work.

What the reviews said.

★★★★½
"…delivers a performance that is no less formidable than those of these illustrious predecessors."

Reviewing Leo's Salieri in the chapel of Trinity College, Critchley traces a performance built from restless, cane-clutching frailty at the character's first entrance through to his final collapse — scheming, jealous and melancholic in turn, guiding the audience through Mozart's rise and fall with real control. His confessional soliloquies, in particular, are singled out for their measured intensity.

"Leo Morad plays the cad that is Elyot with an awe-inspiring naturalness…"

Simpson's review points to a believable, magnetic chemistry opposite his co-star amid the play's rapid-fire wit, praising the cast's comic timing and physical delivery of Coward's deliberately wordy, eloquent insults.

"…a master of comedic timing and reaction."

Farmer singles out Morad's portrayal of Elyot's dry humour as especially delightful, with the on-stage chemistry with his co-star described as a particular joy to watch amid the production's melodrama and wit.
